Sales Day -1:

·Before the application process can begin the process of getting a client must be done.

·See the topic "Sales" on how to do a sale process.

Application Day 0-5:

·The first part of the pre debt counselling process starts when a new client applies for debt counseling, the debt counsellor then consults with the client.

·All of the client's credit providers must be listed under debt review.

·The following forms must be completed by the client:

ØBlank Form 16

·The other forms that must accompany the Form 16 are the following:

ØSalary Advice (plus spouse if applicable)

ØCopy of ID (plus spouse if applicable)

ØDebit Order Mandate

·The Debt counsellor can do the following when starting with a new client:

·The client can be captured as a lead or imported from the Credit Bureau, other information can also be captured for example the fees by clicking on the client dashboard.

·After the client has singed the Form 16 the debt counsellor sends out the Form 16 A + Starter Pack

NCR Debt Help Day 0-5:

·Upon receival of the completed and signed Form 16 Application and required documents the DC registers the consumer on the NCR DebtHelp website.

·The registration of the consumer as applying for debt counselling will then filter to all Credit Bureaus

·Regular updating of the NCR DebtHelp website is required to keep the NCR and Credit Bureaus informed of the consumer’s debt counselling process.

Send Form 17.1 Day 0-5:

·Within five days after the client has applied for debt counselling and was captured a Form 17.1 must be sent out.

·This form will inform all the clients credit providers that the client has applied for debt review.

Credit Providers COBs due Day 5-10:

·After the credit provider received the form 17.1 they must provide the debt counsellor with a COB.

·If the credit provider does not provide the COB a form 17.1 Reminder can then be send to the credit providers to remind them to send a COB.

Form 17.2 Day 10-20:

·On day ten the debt counsellor can use the information from the COB the credit provider has provided to do an over-indebtedness assessment according to agreed guidelines.

·The COBs that was received will also be used to update the obligations of the clients.

·The debt counsellor will then send out a Form 17.2 to the credit providers to communicate the findings.

Send Provisional Proposal Day 10-30:

·A Provisional Proposal is then sent to the credit providers

ØRestructuring Proposal

The Response form the Credit Providers Day 10-30:

·After the Provisional proposal is send out to the credit providers, the credit providers evaluate the proposal and responds to the proposal.

·The credit provider responds to the proposal by either accepting, declining make a counter proposal or requesting a rework.

Sent out final proposal Day 10-30:

·A final proposal is sent out to the credit providers.

ØRestructuring Proposal

·After the final proposal is sent out to the credit providers, the credit providers evaluate the proposal and responds to the proposal.

·The Debt counsellor then captures the final proposal responses.

Refer to Legal Day 45-60:

·On day 41 the debt counsellor can start referring the legal documents.

·All documents that must be sent to the attorneys must be included.

·Once the attorneys receive all the documents from the debt counsellor, the attorneys will draft a founding affidavit.

·The founding affidavit contains all the documents for the court applications.

·The debt counsellor then obtains a Court or NCT case number.

·The debt counsellor then captures the order granted.

·The debt counsellor must then notify the credit providers within ten business days.

·Legal documents can be set up in Simplicity by using the Document Merge feature:

Court Order and Monitoring Day 60+:

·Once the court order is granted a copy must be send to the client and credit providers.

·The debt counsellor must then make sure that the proposal is correct and in line with the court order.

·After the court order is granted the debt counsellor must monitor the client and the client's payments.

·The debt counsellor also has to do annual review before and after the court order.

·The debt counsellor should also obtain interim balances to ensure the Simplicity balances correspond with the credit provider balances.

·The debt counsellor also obtain final balances and when the client is finished paying of his or her debt the debt counsellor can print a clearance certificate (Form 19)
